“The idea of forming a new band started to take shape in 2008” Hasse recalls, and so a year later in 2009, HFMC - Hasse Fröberg & Musical Companion started to play and prepare for what later became their debut album "FuturePast" (2010).
After several shows in both Sweden and also abroad, the band entered the studio to record “Powerplay”, released in 2012. The album was followed by shows and festivals in both Europe and the US.
2015 saw the release of the self-titled album HFMC, which resulted in more extensive touring. When the band finally returned to their hometown of Uppsala, Sweden they recorded the show for the Live DVD/Album “No Place like Home” released in 2017.
In 2019, HFMC announced the release of brand new music in form of the ambitious opus Parallel Life, including the 22-minute title track.
The band embarked on tour initially performing on Prog at Sea (a festival at sea between Oslo and Frederikshavn) and carried on playing until the pandemic put a stop to it all.
In late 2020, preparations and song-writing began for the next album release and the group decided to once again call in co-producer and engineer Petrus Königsson to oversee the recording-process.
Along with a strong and solid set of songs the band entered NEVO studios to start work on what would become “We Are The Truth”, released in 2021.
June 6, 2024 will see the release of the bands sixth studio-album “Eternal Snapshots”.
A concept album that deals with questions such as how we become who we are, is everything predetermined, is destiny involved in our lives?
The title “Eternal Snapshots” reflects over the fact that new fate of lives is being born every second and here we get to follow two of them.
